Heather Locklear‘s loved ones are worried.
Following her arrest for misdemeanour domestic violence and battery on a police officer, the actress’s friends and family are fostering her to go back to rehab.
A source told ET that the 56 -year-old has been “spiraling out of control lately, ” and those close to her say her history with substance abuse is to blame.

The insider said that Sunday night’s incident indicates it’s time for the actress, who has been in an out of treatment for years, to seek help once again, explaining to the outlet:
“Heather has been spiraling out of control lately. We realize Heather has had problems with drinking and drugs before, but she was really getting back on track … Her pals and family are telling her it is time to go back to rehab. She needs it seriously. It’s sad she lets things get this out of control before she gets help.”
One thing that’s probably not helping? Her volatile relationship with Chris Heisser.
TMZ reports that simply hours after their domestic disagreement, Locklear’s boyfriend was arrested for DUI.
The 56 -year-old was pulled over at 12:43 AM on Monday for driving at a slow rate of accelerate on the 101. He was cited after blowing a. 19 and a. 20 during the field sobriety exam, and was liberated a short time after.

Earlier that night, the actress’s brother reportedly headed over to her Thousand Oaks, CA home after receiving alarming text messages from her. ET’s source explained

“She was freaking out and texting her brother nonstop and wasn’t making sense … She grew up in Thousand Oaks and truly did well in Hollywood, so she is the sweetie of the family and they all rally around her. Her friend immediately headed over to the house. When he arrived, she and her boyfriend were fighting. It was a awful scene.”
The fight had gotten so intense by the time he arrived, Locklear’s brother felt he had no choice but to call the police
“They were literally physically fighting and her brother couldn’t control the situation, so he called the police.”
Unfortunately, the vision of police officers only defined the actress off more. The source claimed
“When the police arrived, Heather was irate. She was furious her brother got the police involved and she was in no nation to be able to have a normal imagining conversation. She was out of control. She was hollering at the police and went on the two attacks. She physically opposed law enforcement agencies and they had to handcuff her to control her.”
The arrest, the source added, was “rock bottom” for the Scary Movie 5 actress
“There were markers all over her boyfriend’s face, so they had no choice but to take her into detention. They said she seemed unstable and they wanted to take her for a psychological evaluation.”
Locklear posted $20 K bail and was liberated. Her next tribunal appearing is set for March 13 in Ventura, California.
